From AVIF to a downloadable JPEG
Choose or drop your AVIF, keep the preselected JPG output and select Convert to JPG. Check the result preview and file sizes, then download the .jpg file. Advanced options let you add dimensions or a maximum file size.
Local decoding, with a compatibility fallback
UploadMint first uses your browser’s AVIF decoder, with the usual 24-megapixel input limit. If that fails, it tries a local WebAssembly decoder for supported standard-colour still images up to 4 megapixels. Larger fallback jobs, unsupported colour profiles and specialised variants show an error instead of being sent to an external service.
What changes when you choose JPG
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white. It uses lossy compression and may be larger than the AVIF original. Native decoding gives the best available browser colour handling; HDR and wide-gamut originals may look different in an ordinary 8-bit JPG.
Your image stays with you
UploadMint processes supported images in your browser. Your image is not uploaded to a processing server, and no account is needed. Closing the page clears the working image.
